Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

“Company,” “we,” or “us” means Amzam Ventures Limited.
“Customer” or “you” means the hirer named on the rental agreement.
“Vehicle” means the car, 4×4, game viewer, trailer, or equipment provided.
“Agreement” means the rental contract and these Terms.

2. Eligibility and Documents

Minimum age: 18 unless otherwise agreed. Valid driver’s licence and ID/passport are required. International licences must be presented with a passport.

3. Booking and Payment

A booking is confirmed when payment is received. Security deposits are required by class and cover level. Accepted payment methods are listed at checkout or on your invoice.

4. Pickup and Return

Inspect the vehicle at pickup and note existing damage on the checkout sheet. Return the vehicle at the agreed time and location with the same fuel level unless otherwise stated.

5. Use of Vehicle

• Drive responsibly and comply with all laws.

• Only authorised drivers may operate the vehicle.

• No racing or reckless driving.

• Off-road driving is allowed only for approved 4×4 categories and within published guidelines.

• Cross-border travel requires prior written approval and permits.

6. Mileage and Fuel

Standard mileage is included unless specified. Excess mileage is charged per kilometre. Fuel shortfall is charged at the prevailing rate plus a refuelling fee.

7. Insurance and Damage

Basic cover is included unless stated. Higher cover options may be purchased. The customer is responsible for the excess, tyres, glass, undercarriage, water damage, and interior damage unless covered by the selected plan.

8. Loss, Theft, and Keys

The customer is responsible for the vehicle and accessories while on hire. Lost keys or key damage are charged at replacement cost plus reasonable logistics.

9. Breakdowns and Accidents

Contact us immediately. Follow our instructions and complete an incident report. For accidents, obtain a police report where required.

10. Cleaning and Condition

A standard cleaning is included. Excessive dirt, mud, smoke odour, or spills will be charged a cleaning fee. Camping gear must be returned clean and dry.

11. Traffic Fines and Tolls

You are responsible for fines, penalties, and tolls during the rental period. Administrative fees may apply when we process notices.

12. Extensions and Late Returns

Extensions are subject to availability and must be approved before the end of the rental. Late returns may incur daily charges and impact insurance coverage.

13. Equipment and Trailers

Camping trailers and gear must be used and returned according to instructions. Damage, loss, or missing items are charged at repair or replacement cost.

14. Corporate and Event Transport

Where we provide chauffeur services, shuttles, or fleet deployment for events, detailed scopes and SLAs will be set out in a separate order form or addendum.

15. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refunds and Returns Policy, which forms part of this Agreement.

16. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to direct losses up to the amount paid for the rental. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

17. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, strikes, or system outages.

18. Data Protection

We process personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and the Zambia Data Protection Act, 2021.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Zambia. The courts of Lusaka have exclusive jurisdiction. Alternative dispute resolution may be used by agreement.

20. Changes

We may revise these Terms at any time. The version in force at the time of booking applies to that rental unless changes are mandated by law.
